Genesis 4-7
Genesis 4
And Adam ๐งโโ๏ธ knew Eve ๐ฉ his wife; and she ๐ฉ conceived, and bare Cain ๐งโ๐พ, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. And she ๐ฉ again bare his brother Abel ๐. And Abel ๐was a keeper of sheep, but Cain ๐งโ๐พ was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain ๐งโ๐พ brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel ๐, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel ๐ and to his offering: But unto Cain ๐งโ๐พ and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain ๐งโ๐พ was very wroth, and his ๐งโ๐พ countenance fell.
And the LORD said unto Cain ๐งโ๐พ, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
And Cain ๐งโ๐พ talked with Abel ๐ his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain ๐งโ๐พ rose up against Abel ๐ his brother, and slew โ ๏ธ him ๐.
And the LORD said unto Cain ๐งโ๐พ, Where is Abel ๐ thy brother? And he ๐งโ๐พ said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
And he said, What hast thou ๐งโ๐พ done? the voice of thy brother's ๐ blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou ๐งโ๐พ cursed from the earth ๐, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's ๐ blood from thy hand; When thou ๐งโ๐พ tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou ๐งโ๐พ be in the earth.
And Cain ๐งโ๐พ said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth ๐; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth ๐; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
And the LORD said unto him ๐งโ๐พ, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain ๐งโ๐พ, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain ๐งโ๐พ, lest any finding him should kill โ ๏ธ him ๐งโ๐พ.
And Cain ๐งโ๐พ went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain ๐งโ๐พ knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.
And Lamech took unto him two 2๏ธโฃ wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents โบ, and of such as have cattle ๐ฎ. And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ ๐ถ. And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron โ๏ธ: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.
And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain โ ๏ธ a man ๐ to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt ๐. If Cain ๐งโ๐พ shall be avenged sevenfold 7๏ธโฃ, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold 7๏ธโฃ.
And Adam ๐งโโ๏ธ knew his wife ๐ฉ again; and she ๐ฉ bare a son, and called his name Seth ๐ซ: For God, said she ๐ฉ, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel ๐, whom Cain ๐งโ๐พ slew. And to Seth ๐ซ, to him also there was born a son ๐ฑ; and he called his name Enos ๐ฑ: then began men ๐ to call upon the name of the LORD.
Genesis 5
This is the book of the generations of Adam ๐งโโ๏ธ. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male โ๏ธ and female โ๏ธ created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam ๐งโโ๏ธ, in the day when they were created.
And Adam ๐งโโ๏ธ lived an hundred 1๏ธโฃ and thirty 3๏ธโฃ years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth ๐ซ: And the days of Adam ๐งโโ๏ธ after he had begotten Seth ๐ซ were eight 8๏ธโฃ hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: And all the days that Adam ๐งโโ๏ธ lived were nine 9๏ธโฃ hundred and thirty 3๏ธโฃ years: and he died โ ๏ธ.
And Seth ๐ซ lived an hundred 1๏ธโฃ and five 5๏ธโฃ years, and begat Enos ๐ฑ: And Seth ๐ซ lived after he begat Enos ๐ฑ eight 8๏ธโฃ hundred and seven 7๏ธโฃ years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Seth ๐ซ were nine 9๏ธโฃ hundred and twelve years: and he died โ ๏ธ.
And Enos ๐ฑ lived ninety 9๏ธโฃ years, and begat Cainan: And Enos ๐ฑ lived after he begat Cainan eight 8๏ธโฃ hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enos ๐ฑ were nine 9๏ธโฃ hundred and five 5๏ธโฃ years: and he died โ ๏ธ.
And Cainan lived seventy 7๏ธโฃ years, and begat Mahalaleel: And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight 8๏ธโฃ hundred and forty 4๏ธโฃ years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Cainan were nine 9๏ธโฃ hundred and ten years: and he died โ ๏ธ.
And Mahalaleel lived sixty 6๏ธโฃ and five 5๏ธโฃ years, and begat Jared: And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight 8๏ธโฃ hundred and thirty 3๏ธโฃ years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight 8๏ธโฃ hundred ninety 9๏ธโฃ and five 5๏ธโฃ years: and he died โ ๏ธ.
And Jared lived an hundred 1๏ธโฃ sixty 6๏ธโฃ and two 2๏ธโฃ years, and he begat Enoch: And Jared lived after he begat Enoch 8๏ธโฃ eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty 6๏ธโฃ and two years: and he died โ ๏ธ.
And Enoch lived sixty 6๏ธโฃ and five 5๏ธโฃ years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three 3๏ธโฃ hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three 3๏ธโฃ hundred sixty 6๏ธโฃ and five 5๏ธโฃ years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
And Methuselah lived an hundred 1๏ธโฃ eighty 8๏ธโฃ and seven 7๏ธโฃ years, and begat Lamech: And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven 7๏ธโฃ hundred eighty 8๏ธโฃ and two 2๏ธโฃ years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Methuselah were nine 9๏ธโฃ hundred sixty 6๏ธโฃ and nine 9๏ธโฃ years: and he died โ ๏ธ.
And Lamech lived an hundred 1๏ธโฃ eighty 8๏ธโฃ and two 2๏ธโฃ years, and begat a son: And he called his name Noah ๐ง, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed. And Lamech lived after he begat Noah ๐ง five 5๏ธโฃ hundred ninety 9๏ธโฃ and five 5๏ธโฃ years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Lamech were seven 7๏ธโฃ hundred seventy 7๏ธโฃ and seven 7๏ธโฃ years: and he died โ ๏ธ.
And Noah ๐ง was five hundred 5๏ธโฃ years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Genesis 6
And it came to pass, when men ๐ began to multiply on the face of the earth ๐, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man ๐, for that he ๐ also is flesh: yet his ๐ days shall be an hundred 1๏ธโฃ and twenty 2๏ธโฃ years. There were giants in the earth ๐ in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men ๐ which were of old, men ๐ of renown.
And GOD saw that the wickedness ๐ฟ of man ๐ was great in the earth ๐, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil ๐ฟ continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man ๐ on the earth ๐, and it grieved him at his heart โค๏ธ. And the LORD said, I will destroy man ๐ whom I have created from the face of the earth ๐; both man ๐, and beast ๐ซ, and the creeping thing, and the fowls ๐ฆ of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
But Noah ๐ง found grace in the eyes ๐ of the LORD.
These are the generations of Noah ๐ง: Noah ๐ง was a just man ๐ and perfect in his generations, and Noah ๐ง walked with God. And Noah ๐ง begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
The earth ๐ also was corrupt ๐ฟ before God, and the earth ๐ was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth ๐, and, behold, it was corrupt ๐ฟ; for all flesh had corrupted ๐ฟ his way upon the earth ๐.
And God said unto Noah ๐ง, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth ๐ is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth ๐. Make thee an ark โต of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark โต, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark โต shall be three 3๏ธโฃ hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty 5๏ธโฃ cubits, and the height of it thirty 3๏ธโฃ cubits. A window ๐ช shalt thou make to the ark โต, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door ๐ช of the ark โต shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower 1๏ธโฃ, second 2๏ธโฃ, and third 3๏ธโฃ stories shalt thou make it. And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters ๐ upon the earth ๐, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth ๐ shall die. But with thee ๐ง will I establish my covenant; and thou ๐ง shalt come into the ark โต, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee. And of every living thing of all flesh, two 2๏ธโฃ of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark โต, to keep them alive with thee ๐ง; they shall be male โ๏ธ and female โ๏ธ. Of fowls ๐ฆ after their kind, and of cattle ๐ฎ after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth ๐ after his kind, two 2๏ธโฃ of every sort shall come unto thee ๐ง, to keep them alive. And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou ๐ง shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee ๐ง, and for them. Thus did Noah ๐ง; according to all that God commanded him, so did he ๐ง.
Genesis 7
And the LORD said unto Noah ๐ง, Come thou and all thy house into the ark โต; for thee ๐ง have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Of every clean beast ๐ซ thou shalt take to thee by sevens 7๏ธโฃ, the male โ๏ธ and his female โ๏ธ: and of beasts that are not clean ๐ by two 2๏ธโฃ, the male โ๏ธ and his female โ๏ธ. Of fowls ๐ฆ also of the air by sevens 7๏ธโฃ, the male โ๏ธ and the female โ๏ธ; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth ๐. For yet seven 7๏ธโฃ days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth ๐ forty 4๏ธโฃ days and forty 4๏ธโฃ nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth ๐. And Noah ๐ง did according unto all that the LORD commanded him ๐ง.
And Noah ๐ง was six 6๏ธโฃ hundred years old when the flood of waters ๐ was upon the earth ๐. And Noah ๐ง went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark โต, because of the waters of the flood ๐. Of clean beasts ๐ซ, and of beasts that are not clean ๐, and of fowls ๐ฆ, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth ๐, There went in two 2๏ธโฃ and two 2๏ธโฃ unto Noah ๐ง into the ark โต, the male โ๏ธ and the female โ๏ธ, as God had commanded Noah ๐ง. And it came to pass after seven 7๏ธโฃ days, that the waters of the flood ๐ were upon the earth ๐. In the six hundredth 6๏ธโฃ year of Noah's ๐ง life, in the second 2๏ธโฃ month, the seventeenth 7๏ธโฃ day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth ๐ forty 4๏ธโฃ days and forty 4๏ธโฃ nights.
In the selfsame day entered Noah ๐ง, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah ๐ง, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark โต; They, and every beast ๐ซ after his kind, and all the cattle ๐ฎ after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth ๐ after his kind, and every fowl ๐ฆ after his kind, every bird ๐ฆ of every sort. And they went in unto Noah ๐ง into the ark โต, two 2๏ธโฃ and two 2๏ธโฃ of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. And they that went in, went in male โ๏ธ and female โ๏ธ of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.
And the flood ๐ was forty 4๏ธโฃ days upon the earth ๐; and the waters ๐ increased, and bare up the ark โต, and it was lift up above the earth ๐. And the waters ๐ prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth ๐; and the ark โต went upon the face of the waters ๐. And the waters ๐ prevailed exceedingly upon the earth ๐; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. Fifteen 5๏ธโฃ cubits upward did the waters ๐ prevail; and the mountains ๐ป were covered. And all flesh died โ ๏ธ that moved upon the earth ๐, both of fowl ๐ฆ, and of cattle ๐ฎ, and of beast ๐ซ, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth ๐, and every man ๐: All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. And every living substance was destroyed โ ๏ธ which was upon the face of the ground, both man ๐, and cattle ๐ฎ, and the creeping things, and the fowl ๐ฆ of the heaven; and they were destroyed โ ๏ธ from the earth ๐: and Noah ๐ง only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark โต. And the waters ๐ prevailed upon the earth ๐ an hundred and fifty 5๏ธโฃ days.
