Genesis 4-7

Genesis 4

And Adam ๐Ÿง”โ€โ™‚๏ธ knew Eve ๐Ÿ‘ฉ his wife; and she ๐Ÿ‘ฉ conceived, and bare Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. And she ๐Ÿ‘ฉ again bare his brother Abel ๐Ÿ‘. And Abel ๐Ÿ‘was a keeper of sheep, but Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel ๐Ÿ‘, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel ๐Ÿ‘ and to his offering: But unto Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ was very wroth, and his ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ countenance fell.

And the LORD said unto Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

And Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ talked with Abel ๐Ÿ‘ his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ rose up against Abel ๐Ÿ‘ his brother, and slew โ˜ ๏ธ him ๐Ÿ‘.

And the LORD said unto Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ, Where is Abel ๐Ÿ‘ thy brother? And he ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

And he said, What hast thou ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ done? the voice of thy brother's ๐Ÿ‘ blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ cursed from the earth ๐ŸŒ, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's ๐Ÿ‘ blood from thy hand; When thou ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ be in the earth.

And Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth ๐ŸŒ; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth ๐ŸŒ; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

And the LORD said unto him ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ, lest any finding him should kill โ˜ ๏ธ him ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ.

And Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.

And Lamech took unto him two 2๏ธโƒฃ wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents โ›บ, and of such as have cattle ๐Ÿฎ. And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ ๐ŸŽถ. And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron โš’๏ธ: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.

And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain โ˜ ๏ธ a man ๐Ÿ™‚ to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt ๐Ÿ™‚. If Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ shall be avenged sevenfold 7๏ธโƒฃ, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold 7๏ธโƒฃ.

And Adam ๐Ÿง”โ€โ™‚๏ธ knew his wife ๐Ÿ‘ฉ again; and she ๐Ÿ‘ฉ bare a son, and called his name Seth ๐Ÿซ˜: For God, said she ๐Ÿ‘ฉ, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel ๐Ÿ‘, whom Cain ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ slew. And to Seth ๐Ÿซ˜, to him also there was born a son ๐ŸŒฑ; and he called his name Enos ๐ŸŒฑ: then began men ๐Ÿ™‚ to call upon the name of the LORD.

Genesis 5

This is the book of the generations of Adam ๐Ÿง”โ€โ™‚๏ธ. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male โ™‚๏ธ and female โ™€๏ธ created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam ๐Ÿง”โ€โ™‚๏ธ, in the day when they were created.

And Adam ๐Ÿง”โ€โ™‚๏ธ lived an hundred 1๏ธโƒฃ and thirty 3๏ธโƒฃ years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth ๐Ÿซ˜: And the days of Adam ๐Ÿง”โ€โ™‚๏ธ after he had begotten Seth ๐Ÿซ˜ were eight 8๏ธโƒฃ hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: And all the days that Adam ๐Ÿง”โ€โ™‚๏ธ lived were nine 9๏ธโƒฃ hundred and thirty 3๏ธโƒฃ years: and he died โ˜ ๏ธ.

And Cainan lived seventy 7๏ธโƒฃ years, and begat Mahalaleel: And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight 8๏ธโƒฃ hundred and forty 4๏ธโƒฃ years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Cainan were nine 9๏ธโƒฃ hundred and ten years: and he died โ˜ ๏ธ.

And Mahalaleel lived sixty 6๏ธโƒฃ and five 5๏ธโƒฃ years, and begat Jared: And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight 8๏ธโƒฃ hundred and thirty 3๏ธโƒฃ years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight 8๏ธโƒฃ hundred ninety 9๏ธโƒฃ and five 5๏ธโƒฃ years: and he died โ˜ ๏ธ.

And Jared lived an hundred 1๏ธโƒฃ sixty 6๏ธโƒฃ and two 2๏ธโƒฃ years, and he begat Enoch: And Jared lived after he begat Enoch 8๏ธโƒฃ eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty 6๏ธโƒฃ and two years: and he died โ˜ ๏ธ.

And Enoch lived sixty 6๏ธโƒฃ and five 5๏ธโƒฃ years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three 3๏ธโƒฃ hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three 3๏ธโƒฃ hundred sixty 6๏ธโƒฃ and five 5๏ธโƒฃ years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

And Methuselah lived an hundred 1๏ธโƒฃ eighty 8๏ธโƒฃ and seven 7๏ธโƒฃ years, and begat Lamech: And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven 7๏ธโƒฃ hundred eighty 8๏ธโƒฃ and two 2๏ธโƒฃ years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Methuselah were nine 9๏ธโƒฃ hundred sixty 6๏ธโƒฃ and nine 9๏ธโƒฃ years: and he died โ˜ ๏ธ.

And Lamech lived an hundred 1๏ธโƒฃ eighty 8๏ธโƒฃ and two 2๏ธโƒฃ years, and begat a son: And he called his name Noah ๐Ÿง“, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed. And Lamech lived after he begat Noah ๐Ÿง“ five 5๏ธโƒฃ hundred ninety 9๏ธโƒฃ and five 5๏ธโƒฃ years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Lamech were seven 7๏ธโƒฃ hundred seventy 7๏ธโƒฃ and seven 7๏ธโƒฃ years: and he died โ˜ ๏ธ.

And Noah ๐Ÿง“ was five hundred 5๏ธโƒฃ years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Genesis 6

And it came to pass, when men ๐Ÿ™‚ began to multiply on the face of the earth ๐ŸŒ, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man ๐Ÿ™‚, for that he ๐Ÿ™‚ also is flesh: yet his ๐Ÿ™‚ days shall be an hundred 1๏ธโƒฃ and twenty 2๏ธโƒฃ years. There were giants in the earth ๐ŸŒ in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men ๐Ÿ™‚ which were of old, men ๐Ÿ™‚ of renown.

And GOD saw that the wickedness ๐Ÿ‘ฟ of man ๐Ÿ™‚ was great in the earth ๐ŸŒ, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil ๐Ÿ‘ฟ continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man ๐Ÿ™‚ on the earth ๐ŸŒ, and it grieved him at his heart โค๏ธ. And the LORD said, I will destroy man ๐Ÿ™‚ whom I have created from the face of the earth ๐ŸŒ; both man ๐Ÿ™‚, and beast ๐ŸซŽ, and the creeping thing, and the fowls ๐Ÿฆ of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

But Noah ๐Ÿง“ found grace in the eyes ๐Ÿ‘€ of the LORD.

These are the generations of Noah ๐Ÿง“: Noah ๐Ÿง“ was a just man ๐Ÿ™‚ and perfect in his generations, and Noah ๐Ÿง“ walked with God. And Noah ๐Ÿง“ begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

The earth ๐ŸŒ also was corrupt ๐Ÿ‘ฟ before God, and the earth ๐ŸŒ was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth ๐ŸŒ, and, behold, it was corrupt ๐Ÿ‘ฟ; for all flesh had corrupted ๐Ÿ‘ฟ his way upon the earth ๐ŸŒ.

And God said unto Noah ๐Ÿง“, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth ๐ŸŒ is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth ๐ŸŒ. Make thee an ark โ›ต of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark โ›ต, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark โ›ต shall be three 3๏ธโƒฃ hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty 5๏ธโƒฃ cubits, and the height of it thirty 3๏ธโƒฃ cubits. A window ๐ŸชŸ shalt thou make to the ark โ›ต, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door ๐Ÿšช of the ark โ›ต shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower 1๏ธโƒฃ, second 2๏ธโƒฃ, and third 3๏ธโƒฃ stories shalt thou make it. And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters ๐ŸŒŠ upon the earth ๐ŸŒ, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth ๐ŸŒ shall die. But with thee ๐Ÿง“ will I establish my covenant; and thou ๐Ÿง“ shalt come into the ark โ›ต, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee. And of every living thing of all flesh, two 2๏ธโƒฃ of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark โ›ต, to keep them alive with thee ๐Ÿง“; they shall be male โ™‚๏ธ and female โ™€๏ธ. Of fowls ๐Ÿฆ after their kind, and of cattle ๐Ÿฎ after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth ๐ŸŒ after his kind, two 2๏ธโƒฃ of every sort shall come unto thee ๐Ÿง“, to keep them alive. And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou ๐Ÿง“ shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee ๐Ÿง“, and for them. Thus did Noah ๐Ÿง“; according to all that God commanded him, so did he ๐Ÿง“.

Genesis 7

And the LORD said unto Noah ๐Ÿง“, Come thou and all thy house into the ark โ›ต; for thee ๐Ÿง“ have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Of every clean beast ๐ŸซŽ thou shalt take to thee by sevens 7๏ธโƒฃ, the male โ™‚๏ธ and his female โ™€๏ธ: and of beasts that are not clean ๐Ÿ— by two 2๏ธโƒฃ, the male โ™‚๏ธ and his female โ™€๏ธ. Of fowls ๐Ÿฆ also of the air by sevens 7๏ธโƒฃ, the male โ™‚๏ธ and the female โ™€๏ธ; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth ๐ŸŒ. For yet seven 7๏ธโƒฃ days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth ๐ŸŒ forty 4๏ธโƒฃ days and forty 4๏ธโƒฃ nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth ๐ŸŒ. And Noah ๐Ÿง“ did according unto all that the LORD commanded him ๐Ÿง“.

And Noah ๐Ÿง“ was six 6๏ธโƒฃ hundred years old when the flood of waters ๐ŸŒŠ was upon the earth ๐ŸŒ. And Noah ๐Ÿง“ went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark โ›ต, because of the waters of the flood ๐ŸŒŠ. Of clean beasts ๐ŸซŽ, and of beasts that are not clean ๐Ÿ—, and of fowls ๐Ÿฆ, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth ๐ŸŒ, There went in two 2๏ธโƒฃ and two 2๏ธโƒฃ unto Noah ๐Ÿง“ into the ark โ›ต, the male โ™‚๏ธ and the female โ™€๏ธ, as God had commanded Noah ๐Ÿง“. And it came to pass after seven 7๏ธโƒฃ days, that the waters of the flood ๐ŸŒŠ were upon the earth ๐ŸŒ. In the six hundredth 6๏ธโƒฃ year of Noah's ๐Ÿง“ life, in the second 2๏ธโƒฃ month, the seventeenth 7๏ธโƒฃ day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth ๐ŸŒ forty 4๏ธโƒฃ days and forty 4๏ธโƒฃ nights.

In the selfsame day entered Noah ๐Ÿง“, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah ๐Ÿง“, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark โ›ต; They, and every beast ๐ŸซŽ after his kind, and all the cattle ๐Ÿฎ after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth ๐ŸŒ after his kind, and every fowl ๐Ÿฆ after his kind, every bird ๐Ÿฆ of every sort. And they went in unto Noah ๐Ÿง“ into the ark โ›ต, two 2๏ธโƒฃ and two 2๏ธโƒฃ of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. And they that went in, went in male โ™‚๏ธ and female โ™€๏ธ of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

And the flood ๐ŸŒŠ was forty 4๏ธโƒฃ days upon the earth ๐ŸŒ; and the waters ๐ŸŒŠ increased, and bare up the ark โ›ต, and it was lift up above the earth ๐ŸŒ. And the waters ๐ŸŒŠ prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth ๐ŸŒ; and the ark โ›ต went upon the face of the waters ๐ŸŒŠ. And the waters ๐ŸŒŠ prevailed exceedingly upon the earth ๐ŸŒ; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. Fifteen 5๏ธโƒฃ cubits upward did the waters ๐ŸŒŠ prevail; and the mountains ๐Ÿ—ป were covered. And all flesh died โ˜ ๏ธ that moved upon the earth ๐ŸŒ, both of fowl ๐Ÿฆ, and of cattle ๐Ÿฎ, and of beast ๐ŸซŽ, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth ๐ŸŒ, and every man ๐Ÿ™‚: All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. And every living substance was destroyed โ˜ ๏ธ which was upon the face of the ground, both man ๐Ÿ™‚, and cattle ๐Ÿฎ, and the creeping things, and the fowl ๐Ÿฆ of the heaven; and they were destroyed โ˜ ๏ธ from the earth ๐ŸŒ: and Noah ๐Ÿง“ only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark โ›ต. And the waters ๐ŸŒŠ prevailed upon the earth ๐ŸŒ an hundred and fifty 5๏ธโƒฃ days.
